We process personal information on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate business interests.

We operate this website and our customer relationship management (CRM) system through VanX, our website and CRM platform provider. VanX uses a third-party CRM technology platform to host and process customer information on our behalf. Contact form submissions, order information and learning account details are processed through this platform, and contact form submissions are sent to our CRM via its external tracking events endpoint.

The platform provider publishes a Customer Data Processing Addendum describing how it processes personal information as a service provider. We reference this addendum as the applicable standard for the platform's processing of customer information. Where PayFast is enabled, it acts as our payment service provider and handles your payment card details directly on its own hosted payment pages; Ecomleads does not request or store your payment card PIN, CVV or online banking password. We also use email delivery and learning account processing services to deliver purchased materials and manage access. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate data processing arrangements are in place with our service providers.

Pending verification: the contractual and data-processing relationship between Ecomleads, VanX and the platform provider is to be confirmed before launch. Ecomleads does not represent that a signed Data Processing Agreement is in place until this has been verified. The specific data-processing arrangements with our payment, email and learning-account service providers are likewise to be finalised before launch.

We only send marketing communications where you have consented. Consent is never preselected and is not a condition of receiving customer support. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Analytics cookies are only activated where permitted and with your consent where required.

Our website and CRM platform, including the third-party technology platform used by VanX, may process personal information outside South Africa. Where your personal information is transferred to or processed by service providers outside South Africa, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with POPIA and the platform provider's published data processing terms.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We do not claim PCI certification or specific encryption standards unless independently verified.

We retain personal information for 3 (three) years after your last interaction with Ecomleads, after which it is deleted unless a longer period is required by law (including tax and record-keeping requirements). You may request earlier deletion where legally permitted.

If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator in South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
